Renata Lima
Learning new things excites me.
While some of us learn just because we love to do so, I find it even more stimulating if I can apply some of the things I learned to my personal and professional growth and I love sharing them with others that could benefit from it as well.
That's why we created this website. We want to contribute somehow to your learning process, and share some useful resources related to education.
I believe education should be made accessible to every person in this planet, and although it may be a long road to travel the process of turning it into a reality has been started by many entrepreneurs and organizations around the world, and I want to be a part of it.
While it's important to improve our current professional skills (or develop new ones) and acquire more knowledge in order to keep up with our ever changing world, I also believe that we have to nurture our personal power/personal growth in order to have a more balanced life, so our actions and decisions can be more meaningful to ourselves and to the ones we are trying to reach.
I hope you find here some useful information related to your educational goals, or perhaps an article, a sentence or just a word that will keep you motivated and excited to continue on your learning journey.
Feel free to contact us and send us your comments, suggestions of other related educational resources, or just say hello and let us know what inspires you in life!
And just in case you are in a quest for a bit of enlightenment, check out this article from TinyBhuddha.com "3 powerful insights about finding yourself and creating change".

I am a true long-life student. Started with History of Art, after being hit by reality, turned to Business Administration (I've obtained my degree on the established British online university - The Open University) and now I am signed to various Business, Entrepreneurship and Virtual education courses on Coursera and edX. Big fan.
Following Renata's introduction, I also believe that education should be free and accessible to everyone and for this reason I've started to explore the exciting field of virtual education. The virtual instruction gives everyone opportunity to learn from the best and thanks to the discuss forums which are part of the courses, allows networking on the unprecedented scale.
On contrary to the popular belief, virtual education doesn't require you to be extremely motivated and doesn't make you socially isolated. The learning process is about mastering the field you study, not about time, as in the traditional brick and mortar schools. The researches now are turning their attention to the Video games industry for ploys and tactics to make the online lessons more engaging, I look forward to see the results of their work.
I also think that education deserves better marketing among young people. Nothing against football fields for schools, but when you break your leg or are not good enough or you're simply growing older, how will you pay your bills?
My favourite quote comes from the book Alice in Wonderland (and I love Tim's Burton film, too):
“I try to believe in as many as six impossible things before breakfast. Count them, Alice. One, there are drinks that make you shrink. Two, there are foods that make you grow. Three, animals can talk. Four, cats can disappear. Five, there is a place called Underland. Six, I can slay the Jabberwocky.” ~ Lewis Carrol
I believe that if we focus our efforts and resources on promoting education and making sure that everyone has a tool to access the already available educational resources on the Internet, we can make the change happen. Do you believe in this, too?
